Our first year as the phoenix, a baby newly born
We woke up bright and early, together every morning
Our campfire shone brightly, we each had a new friend
Empty faces at the start, too familiar at the end
Year two upon returning our flames are now apart
But still we are surrounded by friendship, love, and art
Challenging for one of us, but still we persevere
Another summer come and gone, and least for one more year

I wanted cute and cuddly but got slithering and hiss
That snake is my boggart
I think I’d take anything else, a frog, tiger or lark, (Spoken) No wait
He said just thank your lucky stars at least it’s not a shark
His heart was racing when he saw those teeth and fins
When that thing came out of his wand he did anything but grin (spoken) Because
That’s not his patronus that’s his boggart x2

He wanted something furry but got a giant chomping fish,
That shark, is, his boggart
She’s got a story that compares, another dreary fate (spoken) she said
Your fears can’t chase you without legs but mine has freakin’ eight
Her heart was racing’ when it crawled across the floor
She was so scared she had to run right out the nearest door, (spoken) Because
That’s not her patronus that’s her boggart X2

She wanted something to adore but this she’d rather squish
Spiders are her boggart.

Dragon Chant

To learn about some dragons, here’s a song for you,
Nothing too grand mind you just a quick, overview
We’ll start with the largest, a dragon from Ukraine,
He’s got an Iron belly and some talons inhumane
And just in case you’re still unsure about this special guy,
You can identify him by his giant deep red eyes.
Upon this dark description, I know they seem quite mean
But there’s a mild sort as well the Welsh, Common Green
Be rest assured a friend they’ll be and never make a peep,
Just be prepared to keep them fed with plenty of fat sheep
The next dragon I will describe is beautiful you bet,
Opal eyes and flame surprise the color of scarlet,
You can find this shiny dragon in New Zealand,
The first name you should call it by is Antipodean
This is the dragon song, Oh please don’t get them wrong
If you can’t pass the test, then you they will digest.
Next Norwegian Ridgeback it has a long snout
It likes to eat aquatic things, so be prepared with trout
Then we have a Swedish kind, with skin to make fine shields
But do watch out the blue fire it’s mouth will surely yield
We can’t forget our friend the Chinese Fireball i’m told
Aka the lion that lays eggs of red and gold
There’s horntail with black scales, that comes from Hungary
It’s Dangerous no doubt you see it coming, you should flee
50 feet at least with, yellow eyes and bronze horns
I gave an extra line or two so please be forewarned
This next one is quite venomous so please avoid the fangs--
Don’t be fooled by the size, it will eat you all the same
I’ll give you one more extra line so you can be quite sure,
Its Copper scales are bright but its intentions are not pure
If you want to study dragons here’s what I suggest
Travel to Romania, It surely is the best
A longhorn beast is native there but it’s numbers are too few
Hunters love it’s horn that has a lovely golden hue
